| The tubeless version of the new Mibro offers Inner Air Seal to prevent sidewall air seepage while IRC's exclusive Hybrid Tread Compound provides stable cornering with excellent traction.
The all new Mibro Tubeless is a culmination of IRC's 78 year long history of bicycle tire production. Developed primarily for the XC rider and racer, the Mibro will also find favor with those who desire a tire with a wider profile and more air volume, but still require a fast rolling tire. Three, basic elements were considered design imperatives when development of the Mibro commenced:
Lightweight Construction_
A supple and extremely light 127 threads-per-inch bias forms the basis for the casing build-up. Combined with IRC's super light rubber compound, the standard tire weighs in at only 470 grams in the 1.95" width.
High Rolling Efficiency_
Ramped knobs provide an easy means for the tire to crawl out of its traction divots, but the tread pattern becomes even more efficient through the thoughtful design of the knob array. The modified chevron allows the tire to stay up on the knob tracks while riding hardpack, reducing rolling resistance and the up-down-up-down sensation.
Predictable and Consistant Traction_
IRC's Hybrid Tread Compound enables the outer and inner tracks to each receive a separate rubber compound. The resulting outer knobs are stiffer to resist distortion when cornering while the tacky, softer center track provides excellent grip. Split knobs on both tracks provide twice as many working edges. |
