IRC Opens New Field of Rice Bran Ceramics to the Bicycle Industry
Under exclusive license, IRC Tire has developed a bicycle rubber compound that incorporates the newly founded field of Rice Bran Ceramics. Previously discarded in the production of food, the outer husk, or bran of an individual rice grain is ground, mixed with phenolic or epoxy thermosetting resins, then kneaded into IRC bicycle rubber compounds. more

Bootes on Podium
Tuggeranong BMX club in Canberra was the host of round 4 of the BMX UCI World Ranking series and the ACT State Championships. Day one had some bad weather but the track held up very well in the rain and Day 2 was a perfect sunny day. more

Willow's Bike Has New Shoes
Willow Koerber will be riding IRC tires for the 2005 season. It seems that 2004 was a breakthrough season for the experienced Koerber. She earned her first NORBA NCS win at Mt. Snow with a commanding performance, and then followed up with another win in Idaho. She also proved herself as a top contender in World Cups with a bronze medal finish at Mont Sainte-Anne. JHK's on IRC
It's official...Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski will be on IRC rubber for the 2005 race season. JHK is arguably the most prolific American mountain bike racer of the last decade. In 2004 alone he was an Olympian, won the National Championships in both cross-country and short-track and won the Pan-American Championships. He's convinced that last season's momentum will carry him into a successful 2005.

Fisher Chooses IRC Tires...Again
With the new faces joining the Fisher-Subaru Mountain Bike Team, one veteran will remain 2005. IRC Tire has been selected as the rubber outfitter for the 2005 race season.
